Daughn Gibson follows up the release of his self-titled debut with a 7" via Dull Knife
with this joint being one of those two on there.
His production style is spacious and atmospheric, Ray LaMontagne by way of an MPC.
His voice is deep and world weary, comforting with a tinge of hurt. The love he
sings of is slightly noirish, alluring yet dangerous, tinted with self-destruction
and never failing to remind of one's mortality.
Pair this with a fine whiskey.
