SOPHIE - BIPP

SOPHIE is yet again another mysterious dance music producer
from London. This euphoric joint is the side A cut from
 his/her 12" out on Numbers.

The best thing about it is how it is so-90's-rave yet so futuristic
at the same time.

It'll make you feel better.

Magical Mistakes - We're Not Going Home

A Californian ends up in Japan making psychedelic juke.
This is the story of Erik Luebs - the man behind Magical Mistakes.
Signed to Japanese label Day Tripper Records , he dropped his
last full length 'Everything Uncertain' in December 2012.

His new joint 'We're Not Going Home' finds psychedelia and
footwork/juke-kinda percussion congealing into a lush ethereal
transportative piece typical of Japan's burgeoning electronic beat
scene.

Being away from home sounds pretty good.

iamJENI - Stay (Rih-make)

Rihanna had a smash with 'Stay' a while back. It became
one of those songs that had scores of DJs remixing it.
she comes with an incredibly lush take on Rihanna's hit.

You know it's Rihanna's song
but iamJENI's sound is its own world.

Raekwon - Son of Sam

Raekwon struck gold last go around with the sequel to his debut
'Only Built 4 Cuban Linx'. At the beginning of this year,
he announced he was working on his next full length project
'Fly International Luxurious Art' - 'F.I.L.A'.

Produced by Frank G. and Roadsart, Raekwon spits fire over a
dusty lounge-ready beat which goes straight Rat Pack on
the hook when the sample rides.

The Chef maintains this quality through F.I.L.A., due in June 2013,
and he will have another masterpiece on his hands.
That witty unpredictable....

The Where Is Zach Braff? Mix (FREE DOWNLOAD - 18 TRACKS)

The Garden State soundtrack was buzzed about when it hit. Zach
Braff, the curator, put together a collection of slick indie pop and
downtempo tunes that caught the ear of a diverse audience.
It even won a Grammy. He had postmarked a moment in time
through music.

After kinda falling off the radar, he recently resurfaced with
his Kickstarter campaign for his new movie, a move that
attracted controversy. Good things on the horizon if he's
going to be in charge of the soundtrack again.

In the meantime, this mix is made for making memories.
Click the link below to download the mix. The uncompressed
folder contains an M3U8 file which is the playlist. You can
click that after you have imported the tracks to play
the mix in the order.

Rihanna - Diamonds (Ultrademon Remix)

Ok let's just get it out of the way. This was probably one of the most
remixed songs of recent memory. Approaching another remix with
a degree of cynicism at this point would not be unjustified. But this
is something else, an instance of an artist drawing a song into his
world and transforming it.

Over a wobbly jungle beat, Ultrademon re-arranges Rihanna's vocals into
new melodies while frantically pitch shifting them over
a stream of cascading whimsical chimes.

Ultrademon is currently working on a debut album 'Seapunk' -
named after the genre he is associated with.
And if this remix is any indication,
we should be in for a mind-braising treat.

Polica (feat. Justin Vernon) - Tiff

Polica gained a lot of supporters with their smoldering broken hearted
debut 'Give Up The Ghost.' It married live instrumentation
(two drummers!) with Channy Leaneagh's husky Auto-Tuned vocals.
One of the best uses of Auto Tune recently, ironic for some with
a voice as rich as hers. Well, no surprise to find Justin Vernon
in the saddle. Like two Auto-Tune birds.

Over a lumbering bluesy bassline and cinematic drones,
Chan returns with a bite, stepping away from being a sad sack,
purring like a strutting badass, woman in the red dress in
a noirish tale.

You are the hero but she's in charge....
