Mya ft. Marques Houston - Love Me Some You

It's been a while since Mya blessed us with her sweet ass voice. Well she's
back with her Keep IT Sexy & Simple album. This particular track stood
out with its old school slow jam vibe - it even has the guy-girl duet thing
working for it. So here's to celebrating Valentine's Day prematurely.

Common - The Dreamer/The Believer (Album Stream)

All produced by NO I.D. Some of the strongest material Com dropped in a minute.
NO I.D. is not playing!

Sylver Tongue - Hook You Up

This is the first track from this broad who is aiming for the dream pop scene
with this one. Sylver Tongue wrote, produced and sang the whole thang. It's
like slow dancing with a caramel-drizzled brownie....in your kitchen.

Miike Snow - Devil's Work

Back from their Grammy win for their work on Britney Spears' 'Toxic', the Swedish
band - Miike Snow - strike somewhere between the dancefloor and the ride back
home from the club. The pretty piano chords have a house touch to them then
there's the trance-y synth progression that comes in to wrap up the chorus. It's
just a lot of prettiness.

Soso - Who's Gonna Love Me

So Sweden gave us Robyn, now they give us Soso. The artists formerly known
as Sophia Somajo recently dropped this banger off her upcoming album ever so
fabolously titled 'That Time I Dug So Deep I Ended Up In China.' Her powerhouse
vocals float over hesitant chimes and blasts of decayed synths in a super-catchy pop
tune just dying for some accompanying visuals. Can't wait to see the video with her
cute self in it!

Lana Del Rey - Born To Die (Video, Live @ Chateau Marmont)

Lana Del Rey. Nuff said.

Ifan Dafydd - To Me

No it's not James Blake. I thought so and so did almost every other ear
on the net. Ifan Dafydd is from Wales and this is the first cut from
his upcoming Treehouse EP out in January 2012.

One thing that sets him apart from Mr. Blake on this track is the orchestral
vibe of the track with its lush strings and pensive piano chords. This is when
I stop talking and you listen.

Bebetunes - MADNE$$

This is a new find for me. Bebetunes is a project from James Ferraro.
This L.A. based musician (come to find out!) usually drops minimal
electro-pop joints, often sampling everyday gadgets, peripherals,
software application sounds etc.

This track is all slick synths from Blade Runner and Miami Vice having
babies, trap muzik percussion, a recurring sitar sample, a cavernous
reverbed-out gong and pitch-bent vocals from a familiar pop song
whose title just escapes my memory at this point in time

But this shiny ear nugget is quite memorable...
